Is it worth buying BMW Protect X from my dealer?

I'm looking at BMW Protect X for my new BMW 3 Series. It's a product that protects the car's bodywork and interior. It says that it also guards the vehicle’s interior, ensuring that seat fabrics and carpets resist staining, and that leather remains soft. I don't know the cost yet, the dealer just told me about it. Do you think it's worth it?

It will be something like 'Gard X' or 'Diamondbrite'. They usually work, but are always available at about half the price a dealer charges as a commission earner. I used Autoglym Lifeshine myself, inside and out. The Scotchbrite upholstery protector that came as part of the kit worked particularly well and is still holding up after nine years.
