Digital Vernier
When it comes to accurate measurements, you need a good quality Vernier – and this digital example looks a great buy at around the £23 mark (from www.lasertools.co.uk). It has all the features of a normal Vernier but with an easy-to-read digital display (hey, the clue was in the title) that’s easy to switch between metric and imperial. This is a seriously useful item for any hands-on old-car owner.
