Axle Stands

Don’t ever rely on a jack to keep your car raised whilst working underneath. Instead, make sure it’s safely supported on axle stands, which can be picked up quite cheaply these days. Halfords sells two-tonne axle stands for as little as £13.00, but for just £4.50 more you can get these three-tonne stands (which means a safe working load of 1.5 tonnes per stand). You can order or reserve online at www.halfords.com.
