What is the best Nextbase dash cam with rear camera?
You have a few choices because Nextbase released it's new dash cam range in May - meaning you can get a cheaper dash camera from the previous generation or one of the new ones. We've reviewed the Nextbase 512GW (the older camera) and rear camera, by connecting the rear cam you get front and rear footage saved onto one SD card, both recording decent 1080P quality footage. Together they will cost about £140 (512GW is £110 and the rear cam is £30). You can see the footage quality in our review here: kit.honestjohn.co.uk/reviews/review-nextbase-512gw.../

Alternatively, the new Nextbase range is modular. In short, that means you can connect a Rear View or Cabin View camera to the 322GW, 422GW and 522GW - turning them into dual dash cams. Priced at £129, the 422GW features GPS to record your speed and location, WiFi to watch and send the footage directly from your phone, and Intelligent Parking Mode. It also offers a number of more impressive features like Emergency SOS and Alexa voice assistance. Resolution is 1440p HD at 30fps with a 140-degree viewing angle. The full review for the 422GW will be on the Kit site soon, until then, the rear camera footage for the 422GW can be viewed here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0W0mCyr8uIc

The 322GW is cheaper at £99, plus the £49 rear camera (which comes as a modular option that clips onto the dash cam or as a separate module that adheres to the rear window). The 522GW (£120 at Halfords currently) is excellent, but with the rear module the price is about £170. 522GW review is here: kit.honestjohn.co.uk/reviews/review-nextbase-522gw.../

All in all, the 522GW is the most feature packed, but also the most expensive. If you want all the new features and the better footage resolution of the new range - we'd opt for the 422GW or the 322GW (but we have yet to review the latter). Or, the older 512GW is a good option and also currently discounted at most retailers.
