Cassette adapter - £3.50

Let’s face it – nobody listens to cassettes these days unless they’re a hipster. And that’s not a proper excuse to use troublesome, old-fashioned technology. Having said that, there are lots of cars around at the lower end of the price spectrum with tape players instead of CD, aux or USB functionality.

Fortunately, cassette to aux adaptors are so cheap it’s barely believable, meaning you can plug in an iPod or whatever else without much difficulty or expense – though that won’t let you change tracks when on the go. For that a Bluetooth to AUX adaptor is a great idea and they cost around £10.
