Avon WV7 Snow
Respected brand Avon has a good range of winter tyres including this WV7 Snow, and is designed to deal with snow, ice and slush at low temperatures. The V-slot pattern helps it achieve a B rating for wet grip, alongside an E for fuel consumption and a low 70dB noise rating. They come in at a competitive £98.24 fitted.
Kumho WinterCraft WP71
Billed by Kumho as a high-performance winter tyre, which is designed to offer a balance of strong grip in poor conditions alongside good dry handling and wear rates. Rated C for fuel consumption, E for wet grip and a noise rating of 71dB, the WinterCraft comes in at £105.35 fitted.
Bridgestone Blizzak LM005
An impressive all-round winter tyre from Bridgestone, the Blizzak manages a C rating for fuel consumption while also achieving a superior A rating for wet grip. Noise levels are rated at a competitive 71dB too, and while it is a little more expensive at £125.53 fitted, it offers a broad range of ability.

Yokohama BluEarth Winter V905
Yokohama’s premium BluEarth winter tyres have a complex 3D sipe design that gives greater stiffness to the tread blocks, ensuring strong grip in all conditions - confirmed by a C rating for wet weather grip.
