LEGO Architecture New York City

The LEGO Architecture Skyline Collection offers models for those interested in architecture and design. This set features the Flatiron Building, Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, One World Trade Center and the Statue of Liberty - each scaled to give an accurate representation of the comparative size.

It's definitely a coffee table display type piece, which means it won't be as much fun for a kid to build as it would be for an adult. But it would make an excellent gift for a LEGO or architecture enthusiast. It's a little bit expensive, but we think it's a reasonable price for the build time and quality of the set. The sets are also regularly discounted on Amazon, so if you keep an eye out - you might be able to bag one for under £40.

Blitzwolf BW-ANC1 in-ear headphones

The BW-ANC1 (catchy name, right?) are an affordable pair of wireless, Bluetooth in-ear headphones that offer Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Are you staring to see where the name comes from now?

They can actively reduce ambient noise by as much as 20 decibels, which makes them great for train commutes and offices because they'll block out the hum of the train and the noise of quiet chatter. They're also IPX4 waterproof, so they'll be fine if water splashes on them - like at a gym.

Anker Roav Viva

The Anker Roav VIVA adds Alexa, Amazon's virtual assistant, integration into your car. The VIVA can ring contacts in your phone, tell you current road and weather conditions, charge your devices via two USB ports and a whole lot more. If you get a bit bored on your commute, you can also delve a little deeper and ask things like "Alexa, what's the meaning of life?".

If you have CarPlay or Android Auto in your car, then there isn’t much that should sway you to buy the Anker Roav VIVA. It also can't offer more than your current virtual assistant, like Siri, can already do. However, if you have an older car that you can use Bluetooth or an aux input in, the VIVA can offer a very useful functionality to your journeys — like the ability to skip songs or turn up the volume handsfree.
