There are thousands of motoring-related apps available, but which ones will actually prove useful? We've been testing scores of different apps over the past 12 months and we've selected our best five for this shortlist.

MoneySuperMarket GO

The MoneySuperMarket GO app makes it easy to switch and save on your car insurance, energy bills, credit cards, loans & home insurance. The car insurance bit is very clever - it saves your car insurance policy when you buy (or you can add an existing one yourself) and gives you reminders when it is due for renewal.
